Physiotherapy Close to Aurora

Spectrum Physiotherapy is a physiotherapy clinic in Newmarket, a short drive north of Aurora. We’re located in the Dixon Medical Centre at 531 Davis Drive, Suite 101, at Davis Drive and Bayview Parkway, close to Southlake Regional Health Centre. We welcome patients from Aurora and provide individualized, exercise-based physiotherapy with a treatment plan built around each person’s goals.

From Aurora, head north on Yonge Street into Newmarket and turn east on Davis Drive. YRT bus stops are located right outside the building.

What to Expect

Your first visit starts with an individualized assessment. Your physiotherapist will ask about your symptoms, health history and goals, assess your movement, strength and mobility, and explain what they find. Together, you’ll set a treatment plan built around exercise-based rehabilitation, with hands-on care, acupuncture or other therapies added when they’re appropriate. Most plans include exercises to do at home between visits.

The clinic also offers massage therapy, chiropractic care, acupuncture and custom orthotics, so different types of care can be coordinated in one place.

Direct Billing, WSIB and Hours

We offer direct billing to many extended health insurance plans, direct bill auto insurers for car accident claims, and accept WSIB claims.

Our hours are Monday to Thursday 9 am to 7 pm, Friday 9 am to 5 pm, and Saturday 8 am to 12 pm, so evening and Saturday morning appointments are available if you work during the day.

Do I need a doctor’s referral to see a physiotherapist?

No. In Ontario, you can book directly with a physiotherapist. Some extended health plans require a referral before they will reimburse physiotherapy, so it’s worth checking your plan before your first visit.

Can you help me get back to sport after an injury?

Yes. We use a combination of strength testing, hop and agility testing, and a graded return-to-training plan to decide, together with you, when it’s safe to return to your sport.
